Our Parent Association's nickname is "AMP" which stands for Ave Maria Parents.  Every parent is automatically a part of this group when you join Ave Maria Academy.

Our Parent Association’s primary mission is to support Ave Maria Academy by helping to provide volunteer, social and spiritual support to our school community. The strength of our Parent Association is demonstrated by our over 90% parental volunteer rate. The Association helps coordinate parent volunteer opportunities and provides many choices for volunteer positions such as classroom coordinators, reading parents, meal providers and event chairs. Our Parent Association also organizes social events throughout the school year such as parent evenings, Mother-Daughter and Father- Son events, Grandparent’s Day and Back to School Night.

Time is a gift from God, and in this school year it would be our privilege to have you share some of that time with the other families of Ave Maria Academy. Please read through the list of events and offerings coming up in the next school year, and you will be able to sign in to our Volunteer Spot to take part.

Below are some opportunities offered through our Parent Assocoation for greater involvement in the AMA community.

List of 3 items.

  • Familia

As part of the national organization Cana Family Institute, Familia offers the opportunity to meet with a team of moms or dads to form deep and meaningful friendships, discover how to grow closer to your spouse, find joy and satisfaction in your motherhood or fatherhood, and confidently guide your children. Ave Maria currently offers Familia Family Life Teams for mothers, and anticipates offering The Temperament God Gave You course for mothers in the Fall of 2017.
  • Open Gym

During the winter months, our gym is made available to mothers with young children as a place for the kids to expend some of that cooped up energy and for the women to spend time with other moms. Our Winter 2017/18 dates will be announced soon and it runs from 9:30am-11:00am.
  • Well-Read Mom

As stated on their official website, www.wellreadmom.com, Well-Read Mom is made up of women who are accompanying one another in reading the classics, great books, and timeless spiritual works from the Western and Catholic tradition in order to awaken the moral imagination to a greater truth of reality. We are proud to offer a chapter of Well Read Mom here at Ave Maria. The group typically meets monthly throughout the year.
