  • Mass and Muffins

    This morning the school celebrated Mass and muffins with the Most Revered Bishop Cozzens. After Mass His Excellency answered questions from the students. It was a great way to celebrate the end of our school year.
  • Crusader Classic 5K

    What a great day for our 2022 Crusader Classic 5K. Thanks to everyone who ran, walked, strolled or rode in our race. And a very special thanks to all of our sponsors, teachers, and families what a fun day to bring our families and friends together.
  • May Crowning

    This was a special day for our 2nd graders who have received their first Holy Communion this year. 
    The celebration began with the students, staff and teachers of Ave Maria Academy honoring Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth with a beautiful votive Mass, procession, and crowning. God blessed us with the sunshine and warmth on this beautiful day. Praise God for His goodness and beauty!
  • National Latin Exam

    The National Latin Exam is a competitive exam taken each year by students all across the country. It asks questions about Roman mythology, Roman history, geography, and Latin grammar. The highest scoring students can get medals, certificates, and sometimes even prizes. The highest achievements are Magna Cum Laude, Maxima Cum Laude, and Summa Cum Laude. Kristen received “Magna Cum Laude” which means with great praise, and Roman received Maxima Cum Laude which means “with maximum praise.”
  • Best Wishes to Alumni Deacon Dain Scherber

    Please keep Deacon Dain Scherber in your prayers as he prepares for and anticipates his upcoming priestly ordination. It will take place at the Basilica of St.  Paul Outside the Walls in Rome on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Deacon Dain Scherber was involved in many formation programs at Ave Maria/Cedarcrest. His family is grateful for this great blessing and for the school community who has been a part of his life and vocation.
  • 2022 Catechism Bee

    A job well done to all of the participants of our 2022 Catechism Bee! After many rounds of grueling competition, the 1st-4th Grade Bee had a 4-way tie. The winners are Jake Norton (4th Grade), Isabella Jiang (4th Grade), Bianca Bolos (4th Grade) and Auren Schotanus (1st Grade). Eamonn Schotanus (7th Grade) was declared the winner of the 5th-8th Grade Bee. Congratulations to the winners and all those who put time and effort into learning the faith! May we always grow in knowledge and in love of Jesus Christ and His Catholic Church by living out and giving witness to our precious faith! 
  • 4th Grade love book study time!

    The 4th grade is using the Bible to look up scripture to identify Christian symbolism in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
  • 2022 Ave Maria Gala

    You're invited to celebrate the memories with our families at our 25th anniversary gala on March 12, 2022.
  • Catholic Schools Week Celebration

    The 2022 Catholic Schools Week celebration was a huge success. Students enjoyed the week with events like candy jar guessing, winter olympics, milk & cookies, slipper day, buddy bingo, spirit wear days, bring a stuffed animal day, game day, classroom door decorating, a spelling bee and a Chick-fil-A lunch. They ended the week with the preschool enjoying a movie and popcorn party, lower school going on a bowling trip and the upper school going on a ski trip.
  • Epiphany Buddy Gift Exchange

    The students enjoyed a fun afternoon exchanging gifts with their buddies for Epiphany.
