Thank you for your partnership in distance learning. Some days are easy and some days are hard but together we have figured out a way to continue to teach your children. • Ave Maria Academy May Crowning 2020

Devotion to Our Lady has been an integral part of Ave Maria Academy’s spiritual life since the school’s inception. Tradition remains strong as we crown Our Lady each year during May, the month dedicated to her. We recall her fiat, her ‘yes’ to God’s plan for her life and through her, the salvation of the world. Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, Pray for Us!

  • Recap of Ave Maria Academy Gala 2020

What a gorgeous evening we had on Saturday, March 7th with 230 guests enjoying the 17th annual gala at Edinburgh USA Golf Club in Brooklyn Center, MN.  The evening successfully fulfilled what Ave Maria Academy believes:  faith, reason, virtue and community.
Family and friends came together for an amazing evening of fun and generosity.  The gala raised over $212,000!  We are so grateful for the presence of so many of our families as well as the generosity you put forth in making this event possible.

  • Coding Club

5th - 8th grade students displayed projects that they had been working on using the Arduino Uno Microcomputer kit during coding club.
Projects ranged from sounding buzzers and moving servo motors to multi colored LED lights and a custom built “Lie Detector” with 3-D printed box. All students did a great job in the short 3 classes they had and seemed to have a great time.
A special thank you to Mr. Doug Sabers that helped out with Coding Club as well.
  • Mother/Daughter Event

It was a great turn out for this year's PreK-4th grade mother/daughter event. The theme was "warm up with mom". Moms and daughters enjoyed hot cocoa, painted mugs, and made valentines for a group of retired Sisters. A good time was had by all!
  • Movies & Macaroni

To kick off Catholic Schools Week, families gathered in our gymnasium for Movies & Macaroni on Sunday afternoon. They watched Mary Poppins Returns and enjoyed popcorn with their friends. Each family also donated boxes of Macaroni to support a local food bank.
  • Rocks and Minerals

The 4th graders are studying rocks and minerals. They are testing hardness, luster and color.
  • Pre-K 3 building fine motor skills

Playing with Play-dough is one way that Pre-K 3 students build hand strength to help support fine motor development and it is fun too!
