In many cases, an estate gift provides you with the opportunity to make a more significant gift than might have been possible in the present. With the guidance of an advisor, an estate gift to Ave Maria Academy can be accomplished through a variety of means.

Securities/Stocks Donations
AThe Stock Market can be unpredictable, but donating stock and securities may provide a tax advantage, whether your stocks have experienced gains or losses in value.

Benefits of donating appreciated stock:
- Taking a charitable deduction equal to the full market value of the donated shares for those itemizing deductions.
- Locking in investment gains prior to any potential stock market down-turn without having to pay capital gains tax.
- Using the donation to establish a Charitable Gift Annuity to generate income to you for the rest of your life.
If your stock has depreciated in value, selling your stock and donating the proceeds to Ave Maria Academy may allow you to take a capital loss and a charitable tax deduction.
When making a gift of securities, it is important that you arrange for a transfer of your securities to Ave Maria Academy and not sell them yourself. While we recommend you consult your financial advisor before making a gift, stock transfers are simple to make and will provide you with the satisfaction of supporting the mission of Ave Maria Academy.

Memorial & Honorarium Giving
Memorial and Honorarium gifts offer an opportunity to honor a relative, friend, or a business associate.

Any special occasion: birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc. is a time for remembering. During a bereavement period, friends often see this as an appropriate means to express sympathy.
The following message in the obituary of the deceased provides an avenue to make a meaningful and thoughtful gift:
“Memorial Gifts may be made to Ave Maria Academy, 7000 Jewel Lane North, Maple Grove, MN 55311.”
Donor Advised Funds
Contribute cash, stock, or other assets to a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) at a sponsoring organization and receive an immediate tax deduction.

James T. McInnis Scholarship Fund
This fund was established in honor of the school’s first principal who was a true example of charity for all and one who always wanted to help all those who desired a catholic education but needed assistance. It is granted annually to one male and one female student in the 5th-8th grades. Each awardee receives a $1,000 scholarship.
Carbonari Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established to honor the dedicated work of James J. Carbonari, AMA Board Member for 12 years and beloved grandparent. It is a $1,000 scholarship granted to one 7th or 8th grade student. Students complete an application which centers around reflection on Jesus’ parable of the talents in the Gospel of Matthew, a call that Mr. Carbonari took to heart and fulfilled admirably.
Volunteer Opportunities
As a parent at our school you are automatically a part of AMP (Ave Maria Parents). Take part in your child’s class or something schoolwide…help on a committee or co-chair it with another parent. We do have all volunteers go through Virtus training, sign a code of conduct, and complete a criminal background check in order to volunteer. See the Parent Resources tab for more details on ways to volunteer.
aNNUAL fUND cAMPAIGN
Annual giving is the custom of making a yearly gift or pledge payment to Ave Maria Academy. Your gift allows us to continue our mission of providing Catholic education for tomorrow’s community leaders. The campaign coincides with the Academy’s fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).

Crusader Sponsorships are a vital part of sustaining the mission and momentum of Ave Maria Academy throughout the year. As a school without a supporting parish, we rely heavily on the generosity of our community and local partners to make our signature events, and ultimately our mission, successful. These sponsorships provide critical funding that directly supports our largest fundraising efforts, including the Golf Classic, Gala, and Crusader Classic 5K, helping us maximize impact while building strong, lasting relationships with those who believe in our mission.
